Gebr. Schwarz on the FAKUMA 2017

Schwarz presents its first image film

Around 1.800 exhibitors from more than 30 countries presented a wide range of products and services relating to plastics processing and injection molding technology at the Fakuma fair in Friedrichshafen. More than 48.000 visitors were guided through a top-class program and were able to inform themselves about all aspects of plastics technology.

Gebr. Schwarz presented the enhanced technology "touch & easy clean", which is used to produce flat surfaces made out of plastic and glass for hygienically demanding applications.

With the simulation software 3D T-Box, Schwarz sets new standards in thermal 3D simulation. In this process, heat transfer processes in the injection mold are simulated and hot spots can be identified. The result is a improved component quality and optimized cycle times.

The use of renewable raw materials was recognized early on as an important goal in order to conserve our resources. The latest bioplastics experiments were presented to replace classic ABS housing materials.

Another highlight was the introduction of generatively manufactured tool inserts by using the SLM technology. This process stands for fast throughput times and cost-effective production of inserts made out of aluminum or tool steel. In addition, cooling channels close to the contour can be incorporated which are not feasible with conventional production methods.

The Fakuma 2017 also served as a platform for presenting Schwarz's new image film to the public. The Gebr. Schwarz GmbH thanks for your visit! For further information, please contact info@schwarz-gmbh.de.
