Gebr. Schwarz Ltd. situated in Rottweil-Neukirch is a cutting-edge technology company for plastic and tool technology. Founded in 1966, the company has approximately 200 employees nationally and internationally currently for accurate, sophisticated and innovative plastic system solutions with optimal manufacturing processes.
Company history
1966:
Business formation in Rottweil-Neukirch - emphasis on tool construction - operated by the brothers Felix and Gebhard Schwarz. First orders were produced for the radio, television and meter industry.
1975:
Expansion of production and automation: development of new multi-coloured plastic technology. New industries and markets in the consumer and IT sector were supplied (domestic appliances, recreational products, footwear techniques).
1984:
Entry into 3D CAD and CAM technology
1991:
First metal substitutes in medical engineering through the development of endoscope manipulation components in multi-autoclavable plastics.
1992:
Implementation of module assembly technology.
1994:
First certification according to ISO 9001.
1999:
Commissioning of second plant- focus on plastic injection moulding, advanced injection moulding machine park, assembly lines, high-end logistics systems and ultra-short-path series production.
2002:

2004:
Extension of the assembly capabilities concerning ESD protected area and integration of supply chain management. First fully automated manufacturing facility of high complex projects: injection moulding, assembly, packaging (all in one).
2007:
Implementation of the first system coupled with the BDE system to ensure 100% part traceability up to the level of manufacturing parameters.
2008:
Foundation of subsidiary „Schwarz Schmidt Tooling Ltd.“ for the international sourcing of tools for the Asian market.
2010:
Innovation through new technologies. Development and integration of IMD (in mould decoration) technology.
2011:
Consolidation of plant 1 and plant 2 to industrial estate Eferen in Rottweil-Neukirch. Expansion of storage capacity from 2.800 m² to additionally 6.000 storage spaces. Excellent connections of tooling to serial production floor with approx. 900 m².
2013:
Extension of simulation capabilties by deflection analysis tools, to reduce iterations during tool manufacturing.
2014:
Use of additive manufacturing technology through integration of a 3D printer based on the FDM technology.
2016:
Gebr. Schwarz celebrates 50th company anniversary
2017:
Gebr. Schwarz grows by 15% - turnover exceeds the EUR 30 million mark for the first time.
2018:
Quality management system IATF 16949 certification
2019:
Introduction of shopfloor management in injection molding and assembly.
2021:
Handover of the company to the "3rd generation". Danny Schwarz takes over the Gebr. Schwarz group of companies from his father - Uwe Schwarz.
2021 State today:
